New Anime Season - mark 2.0

Well the new anime season is upon us and honestly I feel like it's the best in a while. There are quite a few shows I'll be watching.

Akane Iro Ni Somaru Saka - Typical harem type show, prolly my least favorite and most generic out of all the new shows. Still it's a fun romantic comedy, feels a lot like Shuffle. Guy lives with his "sister" while their parents are away, who just happen to be world famous super spies lol, and saves a random girl who happens to be his fiance. While girl originally likes guy due to some stupid accident she now hates him yet has to live with him.


Kannagi - My favorite out of all the new shows. Light (for now) and truly funny. Some nice touching moments mixed in with lots of comedy. Female lead is really likable. About a guy that makes a statue out of a sacred tree that gets possessed by a local god. God now lives with the guy who helps her exercise small demons. OP animation has nothing to do with the actual show but is great.


Toaru Majutsu no Index - Wow, this show feels exactly like Shakugan No Shana. Lots of action, some comedy bits thrown in, great animation. Again, if you like Shana you'll like this. Did I mention they were made by the same people? Anyway, In a city that's basically one huge learning center full of espers, a guy with the power to cancel out other powers meets a nun type person that is being chased for the knowledge she carries. Plus it has a loli-teacher that is cute & insane.


Hyakko - Slice of life comedy about 4 girls that go to a giant school. Feels a lot like a mixture of Sketchbook & Gokujo Setokai. Comedy bits aren't over the top but make you smile. Entire cast seems to be all female, except for a crazy male teacher, which is always a plus. It's a great way to pass 20 minutes.


Kemeko DX - lol, this is one crazy show. Hot girls? check. Retardly funny? check. Weird? Check. Basically it's about a boy that makes a promise with a girl when they were kids to marry each other, well fast forward 10 or so years and the girl comes back....... In a short, fat, ugly super robot suit that's shaped like a woman. It's really hilarious with crazy aliens attacking, super weapons, a childhood friend with a crush and a sister that does everything. I can't recommend this show enough.


Toradora - Tsundere, tsundere, tsundere, tsundere. Another romantic comedy about a boy that everyone things is a thug and a little girl that everyone thinks is a mean nutcase. Hijinks happen, girl actually lives next door and is a slob, they find out they actually like each others best friends and try to help one another out. A fun show. Mom is super hot and there's a retarded parrot.


Macademi Wasshoi - Fantastic! This is the fan service show of the season and it's just plain nuts. I'm gonna throw out some random phrases in attempt to explain it. Magic school, dog girl, ero, claymation, cute girls, personality changing vampire chick, hot naked demon/god girl, shouta teacher complete with detachable head, lots of parodies. Anyway, the show is great, I can't recommend it enough. It's about a boy that goes to a magic school that is having a test on summoning a familiar. He messes up and summons a naked demon/god girl that goes on a crazy rampage. Good stuff :)


Yozakura Quartet - Last show I watched, I actually didn't think I would like this one and was quite surprised. I expected it to be a lot more serious than it was. It's about a town where yokai (monsters/demons) live together with humans. When the yokai go bad there is a special team that goes to handle them, this show is about that team. I really like the character designs in this show, very similar to Hyakko. Cute girls including the mayor of the town, a cat girl and a girl with glasses that dresses in a school uniform. I'm definitely going to keep watching, this is prolly the most serious of the shows I'm watching.
